Pronouns - Đại từ
Đại từ đóng vai trò như một danh từ.
Câu chuyện ví dụ:
Mary is one of the heads of the ToJi Corporation. Mary works with Mr. James and Mr. James' son Tom. Mr. James and Mr. James' son Tom are experts in biochemistry. Mary, Mr. James, and Tom researched and invented a drug for cancer treatment.
Mary là một trong những người đứng đầu của Tổng công ty Toji. Mary làm việc với ông James và con trai ông James, cậu Tom. Ông James và con trai ông James, cậu Tom là những chuyên gia hóa sinh. Mary, ông James, và Tom đã nghiên cứu và phát minh ra một loại thuốc điều trị ung thư.

Personal Pronouns - Đại từ nhân xưng
Đại từ nhân xưng chỉ người:
- I go to school - Tôi đi học.
- You are a student - Bạn là một học sinh.
- They are Koreans - Họ là người Hàn Quốc.
- He works here - Anh ấy làm việc ở đây.
- We gave her food - Chúng tôi đã cho cô ấy đồ ăn.
Từ 'it' chỉ một vật:
- I drank it - Tôi đã uống nó.
- It is big - Nó to.
- They cut it into halves - Họ cắt nó thành hai nửa.
