• Danh từ tập hợp có thể được thành lập bằng cách thêm "the" vào trước tính từ

the + adjective = common noun

 

Poor ---> the poor (những người nghèo)

Rich ---> the rich (những người giàu)

Sick ---> the sick (những người ốm)

Uemployed ---> the unemployed (những người thất nghiệp)

Injured ---> the injured (những người bị thương)

Wrong ---> the wrong (những điều sai trái)

Right ---> the right (những điều đúng đắn)

• Danh từ tập hợp được dùng như danh từ số nhiều nên động từ theo sau nó được chia ở số nhiều

The poor need help from the rich.

The wrong are to be avoided.

• S + used to + infinitive
  • She used to go to school on foot.
  • I used to play soccer when I was young.
• S + did not + use to + infinitive
  • It didn't use to work very well.
  • She didn't use to go school on foot.
• Did + S + use to + infinitive?
  • Did it use to rain in the summer?
  • Did he use to go dancing at weekend?
• Wh-question + did + S + use to + infinitive?
  • What did you use to do as a child?
  • Why did you use to cry as a child?

Cách dùng

• Used to thường được dùng để diễn tả một thói quen trong quá khứ, thường là để chỉ sự tương phản với hiện tại. Trong trường hợp này không nhất thiết phải sử dụng trạng từ chỉ thời gian
  • I used to smoke 20 cigarettes a day, but now I don't smoke.
• Used to dùng để chỉ tình trạng trong quá khứ
  • I used to own a house.
• Phân biệt Used to và to be used to
  • used to + infinitive: diễn tả thói quen trong quá khứ
  • be used to + V-ing: chỉ 1 việc ta quen làm ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai

Which được dùng để thay thế cho một mệnh đề đứng trước nó.

• He can't speak English, which is disadvantage.

It is sometimes said that there is nothing new in the world of fashion. Annabelle was a well-known model during; the seventies.
